In February 2002, Investors Life Insurance Company of Indiana, a wholly owned subsidiary of Investors Life, was merged into Investors Life. Prior to the merger, Investors Life Insurance Company of Indiana consisted of the former Grinnell Life Insurance Company (acquired in 1998), the former State Auto Life Insurance Company (acquired in 1997), the former Meridian Life Insurance Company (acquired in 1995) and InterContinental Life Insurance Company (acquired in 1984). The companies specialize in providing quality life insurance products through both brokerage and exclusive distribution channels.
